Artist Selection Process

Artist Selection and Awards Criteria

  • Work must show an identity of design and be made by hand. All work must be the original work of the accepted artist. No artwork from molds, kits or other commercial methods is allowed.
  • Work should be well conceived and expertly executed without technical faults.
  • Plagiarism, production line art or factory-reproduced items (other than noted above) are grounds for immediate removal from the show.
  • Signed reproductions may be sold, but will be displayed in portfolios (not on screens) and clearly labeled as reproductions. Note cards, calendars, books and other items created from the artist's own work may be offered. Mechanically reproduced art should be limited to no more than 50% of display.
  • Artists may exhibit artwork only in the ONE category in which accepted.
  • Artists may enter multiple categories for jurying, but will be accepted in ONE category only. A separate jury/application fee of $25 is required for each category entered. You must have a unique and distinct ZAPP profile for each application.
  • The accepted artist must be present all three days of the show. Artists are required to be present with their work during all fair hours.

Exhibition Rules and Requirements

Note cards, calendars, books and other items created from the artists own work may be offered.  Mechanically reproduced art should be limited to no more than 40% of display.
  • Plagiarism, production-line art or factory-reproduced items (other than noted above) are grounds for immediate removal from the show.

 

Booth Space and Conditions

Booths space is 10'X10' with a minimum of 3’ shared space behind. All booths will be located on a flat, grassy area.  Artists must provide their own 10’x10’ white tents which must be weighted or tied down in case of wind.  Tents may also be rented through Art & Air.  Art & Air provides electricity.  Artists must provide their own electrical cords, which must be UL-rated, for exterior use.


Fees

Application/Jury fee: $25 per category
Standard Booth fee: $285
Corner Booth fee: $340

All fees are due with application. The application/jury fee is non-refundable. Invited artists must purchase the booth fee on ZAPP, via credit card, after notifications are made on February 25, 2012 and before the confirmation deadline of March 18, 2012.

These fees do not include tents (booth) or coverings. Artists must provide their own white 10’ x 10’ tents and displays.


Cancellation Information

Absolutely NO booth fee refunds will be made after March 25, 2012.
Art and Air is presented in rain or shine.
